Must avoid these mistakes while online shopping

With the current situation around going to the nearest market and mall now looks like a distant dream. Also, it's not safe to go outside in such a crowded place. So the only shopping option is left online shopping. I've been shopping for the past 3-4years. But during the entrance exam/job preparation years, I was so busy that I had no choice but to shop online. Now habitually, all I do is online shopping. 

Based on the experience of so many years. I am sharing with you the mistakes that we make while online shopping and because of those mistakes, we get the poor and loose or tight fitted clothes.

So that's why I'm going to share some hacks with you that will save you from making these mistakes.

How to decide size?

The Most common mistake we make while shopping online is the misinterpretation of fitting and clothing's size. Many of us buy trousers or jeans or pants according to our waist size. This work for some people but not for all others (like me).

So I'll share a few tips on how I avoid mistakes while online shopping.

Top

When you go to the various sites for example Myntra there is a size chart which is something like this:

 If your bust size is 32'' then you should choose  XS or if your bust size is 34" then you should choose S size for tops and t shirts. but this trick for those who have flat tummy like me, but if you've tummy fat then go for one size up to buy T-shirts. If not, then choose your bust size.

When you buy crop top or bralette 

Crop tops, blouses and bralettes are only up o the bust area so you should only go for your exact bust size.

Points to remember

For crop top, bralette and blouses you should go according to your bust size.

But if you've tummy fat then choose your T-shirts and Tops choose one size up. 

In this way, you will never make mistake by choosing your clothes.

Bottom

Many people make a mistake even while buying bottom. Many of us buy bottoms as our waist size. But this method is not suitable for everyone. Especially for those people whose thighs are slim and if they buy bottom according to their waist then it gets loose. 

I would recommend that you should choose your jeans according to your hip size. While buying jeans keep in mind hip size and waist size as well. It may be loose from the waist but you can do the alter, but if it is tight then it can be difficult for you to alter because we can the bigged thing smaller but it becomes difficult to enlarge the small thing. 

But here is an exception while buying trouser:

Trouser 

Trousers are thinner than jeans so I'd not recommend you choose your trousers according to your hip size. I never order trouser to exactly fit my hip size. So I ordered a size that has size up. In this way trouser will look loose at the hips and thighs will look elegant and beautiful and also will not show panty lines either. Also, you can apply this method to pencil skirts and flowy skirts while buying.

Size charts vary for homegrown brands

Each brand has a different size chart so keep in mind  what's the size chart of the brand you are going with. 

International brand (Zara, H&M and forever new, etc.) clothes are designed by European people and they make a size chart according to their bodies.

Indian brand clothes (Myntra, Ajio, Jaypore, Fabindia, Libasindia),are designed according to Indian bodies and an average Indian body is a little wider and curvy than European bodies. So the Indian brand's own size charts are different than International brands.

So If I'm a small size in h&m that's an XS in Libas India.

If you are ordering Kurtis and choose size small from Myntra then 

You might be a size small in tops but could be an XS in Kurtis.

Quality of clothes

I ordinarily shop for brands like ether and roadster from Myntra and I can blindly trust these clothing quality.

So choose the brands you trust. don't experiment needless with brands. It can be poor quality, so buy go with those brands which you have trust in.

Seller - When you go through the site, always check the seller rating as well in amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra. 

So keep in mind two points:

1. Buy from those brands which you have  trust.

2. Always check the seller and rating.

Myntra and amazon are not a brand it's like a market and a beginner consumer doesn't know about this fact. Because these brands are not brands it's a marketplace so the various brands available are like shops.

You may get poor quailty clothes sometime from amazon and Myntra. It depends on the brand.

Check what model is wearing

You have noticed when you shop from Myntra the height and length of the model along with the size chart as description. We often ignore this thing, but it can be helpful for us when we are confused about the size.  With the model's height and size, can provide a reference check regarding the size to go for.

Shoes

If you know your standard Euro or UK size. My euro size is 36, so I always select  36 and never order the wrong size in a shoe.
